Wellness Disclaimer
What this app is and is not, and the precautions to know before using it.
NewMe Hertz is a wellness and self-knowledge tool. It is not a medical device, it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not replace assessment by a health professional.
What the app produces are estimates: a likely reading of your state from signals you authorise, always accompanied by its confidence level. An estimate is not a measurement of your health and not a clinical finding.
About the symbolic frame and the frequencies
The Map of Consciousness levels the app shows are a symbolic conceptual frame belonging to the project, not a biological measurement. The frequencies in hertz are a symbolic and experimental accompaniment, outside scientific evidence; the app always presents them as a suggestion, never as a measured property of your body.
About the breathing exercises
The breathing techniques draw on scientific literature and may help you relax, but each person responds differently. Please note:
- Stop if you feel dizzy, tingly, any chest discomfort or any other unease. Return to normal breathing.
- Do not do breathing exercises while driving, while operating machinery, or in water.
- Breath holds are not recommended during pregnancy or if you have a cardiovascular or respiratory condition, unless a doctor advises otherwise.
- If you have epilepsy or a history of seizures, seek advice before using rhythmic sound stimuli such as binaural beats or isochronic tones.
- If you are under treatment for a physical or mental health condition, talk to your professional before adding these practices.
If you need help
If you are worried about your physical or mental health, talk to a professional. If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, contact your country's emergency services or a local helpline. This app is not an emergency service and cannot help you in that situation.
